ABF FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM – WET CHEMICAL TYPE “ACHILLES®”
The locally installed electromechanical system, marketed under the brand name “ACHILLES®,” is classified as a Class F fire detection and suppression system for commercial kitchens.
The system features both automatic and manual operation, but differs from the “MOVIAK DIAS®” system in its method of fire detection.
Instead of a heat-sensitive linear heat detection cable, this system uses a sprinkler-type heat sensor array for fire detection.
The sensor array detects potential fire sources across the entire surface of the protected kitchen and the kitchen exhaust duct, as well as in the air ducts. The sensors are available with activation temperatures of 68°C, 141°C, 182°C, and 260°C.
Essentially, the thermocouples are connected to each other by a wire that terminates at a position switch connected to the control panel of the MOB-2000 system. During automatic activation, in the event of a fire, as soon as the bulb of any sensor breaks, the wire slackens, causing the position switch contact to close – closing the contact triggers a Fire Suppression Alarm from the System Control Panel, and the agent is distributed by the same sprinklers to all protected zones.
Key features/advantages of the ACHILLES® system:
Wide range of sizes (6 L to 35 L, with a single cylinder)
Automatic activation, using connectors
